PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head gimbal assembly capable of obtaining satisfactory resonance characteristics and positioning performance. SOLUTION: The head gimbal assembly is equipped with: a magnetic head slider; a micro-actuator which adjusts the position of the magnetic head slider; and a suspension on which the magnetic slider and the micro-actuator are mounted, wherein the micro-actuator is equipped with: two side arms; a load plate which supports the magnetic slider and which is connected to at least one of the side arms; a piezoelectric member connected to both the side arms; and a base shaft which is located between the load plate and the piezoelectric member and which is connected to both the side arms and which is joined to the suspension.
