PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a machining device for a non-circular work such as a piston of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A work 10 is held on a work main shaft and rotated. A non-circular machining device 100 includes a non-circular machining unit base 110 and a servo motor 140. A non-circular machining unit 120 is indexed around the axis, and an arbitrary blade 131 out of a blade group is selected. The servo motor 112 reciprocates the non-circular machining unit 120 on an X<SB>2</SB>axis in synchronization with the rotation of the work main shaft, thereby performing non-circular machining for the work 10.
