PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a gel that shows heat-reversible viscosity and a higher viscosity at room temperature, and moreover, controllable physical properties. SOLUTION: The gel is produced by mixing a composition represented by chemical formula (1) with a solvent kept at a temperature of 0-60°C so that the concentration of the resultant composition becomes 5-15 wt%.
