PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine-driven work machine safe and easy to move and transport, and easily removable when moving and transporting are not required. SOLUTION: An engine 50 and a work machine body 55 driven by the engine are disposed on a base 120 forming a basic frame body in the lower part of a housing, and two fork pocket forming members 130 each having a cross section of an almost reverse hat shape to insert the fork of a fork lift easily detachable to the lower side of the base are provided side by side at prescribed positions. Stationary wheels 141 disposed in the vicinity of the both lower side end parts of one fork pocket forming member 130, and rotatable and universal wheels 140 disposed in the vicinity of the both lower end side end parts of the other fork pocket forming member 130 are detachably disposed, and a protective member 131 covering each of the wheels 140, 141 is disposed in the vicinity of the stationary wheel and the universal wheel on the fork inserting sides of the fork lift by turning it downward from the lower sides of the both end parts of the fork pocket forming member 130.
