PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus and method for intracellular oxygen saturation, which can evaluate an oxygenated state and an ischemic index in a living cell more precisely than hemoglobin spectrometry. SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus for intracellular oxygen saturation is equipped with a light source (2) to illuminate living tissue (T), a light receiving means (3) to receive the reflected or transmitted light, a spectral means (4) for making a spectrogram of the light emitted from the light receiving means (3), a detecting means (5) to detect the spectral light, and a processing means (6) to receive a signal outputted from the detecting means (5) and to process it as prescribed. When the light source (2) emits a light in a wavelength band where absorbance of oxygenated and deoxygenated intracellular globin protein except hemoglobin and myoglobin are different, and the living tissue (T) includes a living cell having intracellular globin protein except hemoglobin and myoglobin, the processing means (6) evaluates the oxygenated state and the ischemic index (X) in the living cell based on the signal outputted from the detecting means (5).
