<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device with a garter spring having stable sealing performance and longer life while preventing the opening of a seal portion due to so-called stick slip and actualizing stable sealing even when sealed fluid pressure is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device with the garter spring comprises a seal body 1 and the ring garter spring 2 mounted at the back face position of the seal portion 4 of the seal body 1.
