PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate variance by a much more simple processing procedure. SOLUTION: A variance value is calculated by a variance expression. Thus, it is not necessary to calculate an average in processing steps A3 and A4, and it is possible to execute those steps in parallel. That is, it is possible to execute the parallel processing of the calculation of S1=S1+Fij of an adder-subtractor 112a in the processing step A3 and the square of the data value Fij of a multiplier 112b in the processing step A4.
