摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide the quantity of color materials of a deep color material and a light color material even when an isoquant line of a color material and an isoconcentration line do not cross on the cell of m line×m column where the profiles of the color material quantity and the density are described. SOLUTION: A cross patch of n line×n column in which the discrete color material quantity for two kinds of color materials having the density difference in the same color tone is distributed in the shape of a cross is printed by an image output apparatus such as a printer or the like. A density profile map consisting a cell of m line×m column is formed from the discrete density value acquired by carrying out the colorimetry of the printed matter by an interpolation means. A quantity profile map of color materials consisting of a cell of m line×m column is formed from the discrete quantity of a color material of the above cross patch by the interpolation means. When a crossing cell from the density profile map and the quantity profile map of a color material is not detected, the cell having the shortest distance between a cell which composes the isoquant line of a color material and a cell which composes an isoconcentration line detected, and the formulation of the quantity of color materials of a deep color material and a light color material is decided by the cell having the shortest distance.
