PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an image recording of a high grade by enabling the occurrence of banding to be suppressed even in an ink high density region such as solid painting. SOLUTION: Before an image is formed by discharging an ink from a plurality of nozzles, and forming dots on a media, this image processing device performs an image process for input image data. In the image processing device, at the time of N-value coding (N≥3), dots having a size not less than a specified size are prohibited to be continuously formed in the media carrying direction or a direction being orthogonal to the media carrying direction. Alternatively, when there is a possibility that dots having a size not less than the specified size are arranged by 50% or more by a dot probability which is a ratio of a quantity of actually formed dots to a quantity of dots which can be formed within a specified region, dots having a size not less than the specified size are approximately uniformly arranged in the specified region, and also, are arrangement-limited at 50% by the dot probability.
