The invention relates to a device for mounting and fixing at least one gong belonging to a timepiece striking work, in which each gong (1, 14) is solidly connected to a lug (2, 15). The inventive device comprises means (5, 6, 8, 9, 10) for the positioning and temporary fixing of the lug(s) and the gong(s) thereof to a timepiece movement plate (7). The invention also comprises at least one glass support (21) which is fixed beneath the glass (22) of the case housing the timepiece movement and guiding and positioning means (5, 6, 11) which can be used to move the gongs (1, 14) and the associated lugs (2, 15) into the service position thereof, in which each lug is either in contact with the glass support (21) or with another lug. The invention further comprises means (13) for fixing the gongs and the lugs thereof to the glass support (21) such that the gongs and the lugs are connected to the glass (22). |
