<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacker device for optimally controlling a stacking condition according to the kinds of paper such as limp thin paper, thick paper, large or small-sized paper by an elevating/lowering means for elevating/lowering a tray for loading sheets of paper and to improve workability upon taking out the sheets of paper. <P>SOLUTION: The stacker device equipped with the elevating/lowering means for elevating/lowering the tray for loading sheets of paper thereon includes a detecting means for detecting the state of the tray and the sheets of paper to be loaded on the tray. The detecting means varies the position of the tray based on the state of the sheets of paper detected by the detecting means. The paper stacking depth which is the distance from the discharge port of the sheets of paper to the top most sheet of paper loaded on the tray, is controlled to be kept in a predetermined range. After the discharge of the paper sheets are completed, the tray is lowered to a predetermined position while the tray loading face is controlled to be substantially horizontal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
