<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely suspend a distributed print request from an unauthorized user when a section authentication function and a distributed print function are performed simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: In a data processing unit performing distributed print processing of print jobs by means of a plurality of devices A, B registered in a group among a plurality of devices A, B in a network, when the distributed print request is made from the group devices A, B, a group printer driver 603 executes user section authentication in regard to each device in the group printer. When the entire devices succeed in the user section authentication, a drawing instruction from an application program 601 is converted into a generic intermediary format data, and registered with a spool section 716, while when the entire devices fail in the authentication, the above registration with the spool section 716 is suspended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
