<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which can obtain information with respect to the state of the printing device without having to print the information on a material to be recorded, even if the printing device becomes unable to print on the material to be recorded on some reasons, dispensing with using in waste the material to be recorded or recording materials to obtain the information, in the printing device for outputting by printing the information on the material to be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: The printing device comprises a communication section to be connected to an information processor via a communication medium, a management section for managing the state of the printing device, a generating section for generating output information from the state output by the management section, and a printing section for printing the output information output by the generating section on the material to be recorded, wherein the communication section outputs the output information output by the generation section to the information processor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
