<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for a vehicle capable of reducing the frequency of refilling a reducing agent. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device 1 for the vehicle uses an ammonia-based compound as the reducing agent to purify a nitrogen oxide NOx. A supply tank 5 for storing the reducing agent is disposed in an engine compartment and/or a side cowl part of the vehicle. Because of using a space existing in the engine compartment and/or the side cowl part, the supply tank for storing the reducing agent can have high capacity to provide the exhaust emission control device for the vehicle reducing the frequency of refilling the reducing agent to the supply tank. Since the supply period of the reducing agent to the supply tank can be set long, the inspection time of the vehicle and the refilling time of the reducing agent are allowed to correspond to each other to dispense with the management of the reducing agent by a user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
