<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of reducing complicated operations involved in the setting of a time. <P>SOLUTION: When the input of a commercial power source AC is stopped, the projector 1 maintains an operation by the supply of power from a capacitor 17. In addition, each switch SW is turned off to stop the supply of power to an operating part 12, an image projection part 15, an electric wave clock unit 19, and a network communication part 20. Based upon the result of the detection by a current detection circuit 18, a system management section 10 derives an amount of accumulating electricity of the capacitor 17. Further, based upon the derived amount of accumulating electricity and expected consumption power, the system managing section 10 also estimates (calculates) time (operable time) for which time measurement can be maintained, and the result is displayed on a liquid crystal display device 13. In the case that the calculated operable time is not longer than a first predetermined time (e.g., one hour), the system managing section 10 displays a message on the liquid crystal display device 13 so as to urge to input the commercial power source AC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
