<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for establishing a user interface for a device through user created graphical elements. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises a process for recognizing a graphical element icon created by the user. When the icon is recognized, access is made to a function related to the graphical element icon, and an output by the function is provided. The function is permanently related to the graphical element icon. The selection and navigation of a menu are performed by mutual action with the graphical element icon.
