<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating waste containing a chloride, in each of which waste containing the chloride is heated and pyrolyzed uniformly without using a mechanical means. <P>SOLUTION: Waste containing a chloride, and calcium oxide are supplied continuously to a treatment furnace from the upper part thereof and carbon dioxide is supplied thereto from the lower part thereof so that the supplied calcium oxide is reacted with the supplied carbon dioxide in a main reaction zone in the treatment furnace to generate heat of reaction and the waste is pyrolyzed by the generated heat of reaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
