PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to create a photo movie with good appearance even if an improper reproducing time is set. SOLUTION: The moving speed of a trimming frame F1 is calculated by setting the moving route of the trimming frame F1 for deciding a range to be segmented from one part of a still image and a photo movie reproducing time. It is determined whether or not the calculated moving speed is within a predetermined permissible speed range, and if it is not within the permissible speed range, a frame size indicating the size of the trimming frame F1 is corrected. If the moving speed exceeds the permissible speed range, the frame size is largely corrected, and a photo movie having a visually slow speed movement of a screen can be created. Also, if the moving speed is lower than the permissible speed range, the frame size is corrected small, and a photo movie having visually high-speed movement of a screen can be created.
