PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for fuel cell having a high degree of mass transfer, diffusivity, and conductivity, and superior in stability of output with the passage of time. SOLUTION: This is an electrode for fuel cell containing a calcined object which is obtained by calcining at a temperature of 800°C or more in an inert atmosphere a mixture of a polymer producing a hardly graphitized carbon and an easily graphitized carbon. The mixture is prepared by mixing the easily graphitized carbon 1 mass% or more and less than 90 mass% against the polymer producing hardly graphitized carbon.
