PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having a temperature switching compartment, improving its convenience by reducing economic load and easily securing a spot therefor, and keeping freshness of stored articles in a chilled compartment adjacent to the temperature switching compartment. SOLUTION: This refrigerator 1 comprising the temperature switching compartment 3 capable of switching an indoor temperature to a low-temperature side for refrigerating or freezing the stored articles and a high-temperature side for keeping heated food at 50-80°C by cooling by a cooling device 17 and heating by a heater 15, further comprises the chilled compartment 23 located in adjacent to the temperature switching compartment 3 for storing the stored articles in a semi-chilled state, and a chilled compartment damper 25 for opening and closing a cold air inflow side of the chilled compartment 23, and an opening period of the chilled compartment damper 25 when the temperature switching compartment 3 is switched to the high-temperature side, is longer than that when the temperature switching compartment 3 is switched to the low-temperature side.
