PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas compressor and a gas pressure raising method utilizing change of the gas adsorbing ability of an adsorbent due to a temperature change. SOLUTION: This gas compressor utilizing change of the gas adsorbing ability of the adsorbent due to a temperature change is provided with an adsorbent filled container. After adsorbing the gas to the adsorbent cooled by a liquefied gas, temperature of the adsorbent is raised by the heat input from outside to release the adsorbed gas and to raise the pressure of the gas, and the gas is sent out.
