PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor joint apparatus which positively prevents an inconvenience, i.e. bite of a rear end cover plate of a joint plate in a floor surface, even when the apparatus jolts to narrow a joint portion, and allows safe and secure use thereof without forming a step at front and rear ends of the joint plate. SOLUTION: The floor joint apparatus is formed of the joint plate, a front end cover plate, a slope support body, and the rear end cover plate. The joint plate has its rear end vertically movably supported on one skeleton on a joint side, and its front end supported in a support recess which is formed in a floor surface on a joint side of the other skeleton and has an anti-joint side formed like a slope. The front end cover plate is attached to the front end of the joint plate via a hinge member, for preventing the front end of the joint plate from forming the step when the front end runs onto the floor surface of the other skeleton. The slope support body has its front end fixed to the rear end of the joint plate successively located downward. The rear end cover plate is attached to the floor surface of the one skeleton on the joint side, via a hinge member, such that the front end is supported by the support body.
