PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external wall construction structure of excellent waterproofness having a waterproofing function between adjacent external wall plates. SOLUTION: The external wall construction structure 1 has the external wall plates 10 fixed in a vertically and laterally butt-joined state to a backing material 4. The external wall plate 10 has cutout parts 110 cut out from a rear side face 114, formed at an upper end face 110, a lower end face 111, a left end face 112 and a right end face 113. An end face cut-off material 2 with resiliency is continuously disposed at a front end 101 of the cutout part 100.
