<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a user to judge an end of a service life by viewing a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: When the end of the service life for the process cartridge is detected by an image forming apparatus main body, a service life notification part of the process cartridge notifies the end of the service life of the process cartridge on receiving a driving force making an electrophotographic photoreceptor drum rotate in an opposite direction. When the electrophotographic photoreceptor drum is carrying out image formation, a notification indicating part 37a of a spring member butts against a restricting part and its tension force is loosened, and a notification displaying part 37a of a spring member maintains a state of indication which indicates that the displayed process cartridge has not reached the end of the service life. When the end of the service life of the process cartridge is detected by the image forming apparatus main body and the electrophotographic photoreceptor drum is rotated in the opposite direction and the spring member is also rotated in the opposite direction, and the notification display part 37a of the spring member is not displayed and is transffered to a display state which indicates that the service life of the process cartridge is ended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
