<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which exhibits high activity in water gas shift reaction for reacting carbon monoxide with water vapor to convert carbon monoxide and water to hydrogen and carbon dioxide. <P>SOLUTION: In the catalyst for water gas shift reaction, the catalyst indispensably consists of copper oxide, zinc oxide, zirconium oxide, aluminum oxide and alkali metal element, and arbitrarily consists of manganese oxide, wherein, when the whole catalyst content is 100wt%, the respective contents are 20 to 70 wt%, 10 to 60 wt%, 1 to 50 wt%, 1 to 50 wt%, 0.5 to 10 wt% and 0 to 25 wt% in the above order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
