<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device and a process cartridge that make it easy to remove a recording medium jamming inside. <P>SOLUTION: A primary body frame 131 forming a casing of the process cartridge 130 houses a photosensitive drum 133 and a transfer roller 135. This primary body frame 131 has a transfer roller cover 131a formed to cover the transfer roller 135. This transfer roller cover 131a has a jam handling opening portion 131d for removing a jamming form Pj twining around the transfer roller 135. This jam handling opening portion 131d is formed at distances from a form entrance 131b and a form exit 131c which are openings formed along a form conveyance path PP to expose a portion of the peripheral surface 135a of the transfer roller 135 which is not opposed to the form conveyance path PP to the overall width of the form. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
