PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To isolate a new compound from active ingredients contained in a resin substance produced in Dracaena draco L, elucidate the chemical structure of the compound, and develop a new use as a medicine.

SOLUTION: The granulation-promoting agent and the cancer cell apoptosis-inducing agent each contains at least one of compounds represented by the general formula (1) [R1to R6are each H or a lower alkyl; X is O or H(OH)] as an active ingredient.
