<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication control unit capable of inducing or restricting connection of communication, and image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: If there is a connection request from external equipment (S11:YES), it is judged whether or not the connection request can be authenticated from a communication address or the like of the external equipment (S12). If it is judged that illegally requested predetermined times (S15:YES), notification contents corresponding to the number of times of access are read out (S17) and a message with the read notification contents is notified (S18).
