PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device and television broadcast recording system in which a television broadcast after interruption can be recorded and reproduced later even if viewing of the television broadcast has to be interrupted. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device is a portable terminal device 1 comprising a television receiving unit 11 for receiving a television broadcast, a reproduction control unit 12 for reproducing a television program and a communication unit 17 for communicating with a recording and reproducing device 2 capable of recording a received television program. The communication unit 17 transmits to the recording and reproducing device 2 first view information containing a channel of the television broadcast to be received by the television receiving unit 11 and a first time in which the reproduction of the television program received by the television receiving unit 11 is started by the reproduction control unit 12, and second view information containing the channel and a second time in which the reproduction of the television program due to the reproduction control unit 12 is interrupted.
