PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multi-stage predistortion type distortion compensation apparatus in which power efficiency can be improved by performing accurate distortion compensation meeting non-linearity of a preamplifier and a final-stage amplifier. SOLUTION: There are provided a first predistortion type distortion compensator which is disposed at an input side of the preamplifier, to which a digital signal converted by an AD converter for inputting and an output signal of the preamplifier are inputted, and which generates a first distortion compensation signal for canceling a distortion component in the output signal of the preamplifier based on both the input signals and supplies the first distortion compensation signal to the preamplifier; and a second predistortion type distortion compensator which is disposed between at least either an output side or an input side of the preamplifier and an output side of the final-stage amplifier, to which at least either the output signal or an input signal of the preamplifier and an output signal of the final-stage amplifier are inputted, and which generates a second distortion compensation signal for canceling a distortion component in the output signal of the final-stage amplifier based on both the input signals.
