PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a stream received from a network to external equipment in real time, to record the stream, and to simultaneously reproduce it on a display device or the like in real time. SOLUTION: A reproduction control unit 102 receives a time stamped stream TTS via a network. On the basis of the time stamp added to each group of packets in the TTS, a TTS processing unit 105 generates a real-time stream TS from the TTS. A decoder 108 decodes the TTS and outputs video data and audio data in real time. A demultiplexer 106 includes a buffer 105a for temporarily recording a TTS provided from the reproduction control unit 102, and provides the TTS recorded in the buffer to the TTS processing unit 105 and the decoder 108.
