<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically assign another route to communication between nodes, without increasing the price of a device constituting a node, if any fault occurs on a communication route. <P>SOLUTION: Network management software 12 includes a fault event receiver 122 for performing processing for receiving a fault event from a network device (node); a fault event analyzer 123 for analyzing the fault event; and a fault handling method searching part 124 for searching for how a fault specified as a result of analysis is to be handled.
