PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the confidentiality of data communication between chips where there is any danger that it is monitored from the outside. SOLUTION: The dummy bits of random number values are inserted into predetermined bits for a signal to be outputted to the outside of a chip, the dummy bits are separated and removed at first, and signal processing is carried out at the chip side which inputs this signal. In this case, bit position information for inserting the dummy bits is preliminarily shared at both transmission/reception sides, or inserted into a header attached to the data at the transmission side so that the insertion of the dummy bits can be recognized at the reception side.
