PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver and a digital broadcasting service system capable of providing a function exhibiting strong interest concerning television broadcast and services accompanying thereto, independently from a system of a broadcasting station. SOLUTION: The digital broadcasting receiver 1 is provided with a quiz question creating means for creating quiz questions from program guide information included in a broadcasting signal; a quiz setting means for outputting the quiz questions and performing input processing of answers and outputting result; a communication means for transmitting information about the questions set by the quiz setting means and information about the result of answers subjected to input processing to an external server 50; and an information output means for outputting the information received from the external server 50 via the communication means, as a video image to a screen where the quiz questions are presently set by the quiz setting means. The external server 50 estimates the preference of each of users from the transmission information, and transmits the service information for individual user corresponding to the preference, to the digital broadcasting receiver 1.
