PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display which is visually appealing and attractive to users in starting up a pointer type display arrangement. SOLUTION: The pointer display arrangement comprises a dial face 1 where a plurality of letters, illustrations 2 and scales 4 indicating the operation meaning of the operational object, a pointer 3 pointing one of the letters 2, etc. a stepper motor driving the pointer 3, and a controller controlling the stepper motor so as to move the pointer 3 to the letters 2 and the like corresponding to the operation state of the operational object. The controller controls the stepper motor so as to move to the letter 2 and the like corresponding to the operation state of the actual operational object after the pointer 3 moved to the left end during activating the pointer type display arrangement.
