Cold forming assembly for confectionery products gas lock at inlet and outlet and a supply of dried gas

A forming assembly molds food confectionery ingredients in one or more casting molds (4) that pass through a chamber (2) with an inlet (2a), an outlet (2b), and a cold compression plunger (5). The assembly further has a drier for cold gas that is injected via an inlet to the chamber. The chamber has a gas lock (6). The assembly has a gas lock at both the inlet and outlet. Dry gas is fed from the drier to the outlet gas lock. Pressure is reduced in the forming chamber by combined use of injector and suction jets.
