<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device in which the life and performance of a light source lamp can be maintained for a long period of time by eliminating the partial and abnormal heat generation of the light source lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device is provided with: a light source lamp 15; a reflector 16 which reflects light emitted from the light source lamp 15 arranged inside and emits the light forward; an explosion-proof cover 18 which is provided with a light projection part 19 having an explosion-proof glass 20 in the front surface and disposed on the front side of the reflector 16 so as to cover its open part; a cooling air inflow port 21 and an outflow port 22 which are disposed on the periphery of the explosion-proof cover; a cooling fan 23 arranged outside the reflector 16 and the explosion-proof cover 18; and an air introducing duct 24 which splits the flow of cooling air from the fan 23 into main cooling air and sub-cooling air, introduces them into the cooling air inflow port 21 of the explosion-proof cover 18, introduces the main cooling air into the space of the reflector 16 and the explosion-proof cover 18 and introduces the sub-cooling air into the projection part of an electrode terminal 15a being the high heat generating part of the light source lamp 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
