PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tandem type method and apparatus for full-color image formation which provide an image of high gradation and high resolution.

SOLUTION: In the tandem type apparatus for full-color image formation equipped with at least a photoreceptor, toner and exposure apparatus, the volume mean particle size (Dv) of the toner ranges from 3 to 8 μm and the measured value (number) of particles having 0.6-2.12 μm particle size is ≤15% of the number of whole particles.
