<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for an image recording material that excels in feedability at the time of its manufacture or recording images and can record high-quality images free from blisters, unevenness in recording and uneven fixing and from color fading of recorded images. <P>SOLUTION: The support for the image recording material consists of a paper and polymer coating layers with at least one layer on both surfaces of the paper, wherein at least one layer of the polymer coating layers contains a polymer type antistatic agent used by being mixed and the paper contains a metallic compound. The for-mixing polymer type antistatic agent is preferably one selected from a polyether based polymer antistatic agent, betaine based polymer antistatic agent and ionomer based polymer antistatic agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
