<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup and an optical disk system by which a stable reproduction signal is obtained when information is reproduced from a recording medium of the corresponding specification by selectively using laser beams with different wavelength. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk system 1 obtains an RF signal by using diffraction gratings 24 to which a specified diffraction pattern is provided corresponding to a laser beam of first wavelength, and when a laser beam of second wavelength different from the first wavelength is transmitted, and by adding non-diffraction and diffraction beams to an output signal of the laser beam of the second wavelength. Thus, a margin is obtained in a signal processing system provided in the latter stage and reproduction of signals from an optical disk with low reflectivity of a recording layer or an optical disk having a plurality of recording layers and intermediate layers is stabilized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
