PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery storage structure and contacts which have a compatible design to enable usage of different kinds of batteries selectively and safely. SOLUTION: A battery storage structure has a first contact 1 and a fourth contact 4 to which a loading is connected, and a second contact 2 and a third contact 3 corresponding to the above two contacts. A fifth contact 5 has a function contacting the first contact 1 or the fourth contact 4 by any of a recessed electrode, flat electrode or protruding electrode. In place of the function of the contact 5, for at least one or more contacts out of the contact 1 through the contact 4, the first contact 1 with a function of not contacting the protruding electrode but contacting flat and recessed electrodes, the second contact 2 with a function of not contacting recessed and flat electrodes but contacting protruding electrode, the third contact 3 with a function of not contacting recessed and protruding electrodes but contacting flat recessed electrode, and the fourth contact 4 with a function of not contacting the flat electrode but contacting protruding and recessed electrodes are used.
