PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly reserve reception of a desired program, without accompanying complicated operations. SOLUTION: If there is a finished program (Step F1: YES), viewing time ratio is calculated as for a broadcasting time finished program (Step F2). A program whose watching time ratio is 35% or lower is cut (Step F3), and only the program, whose viewing time ratio exceeds 35%, is considered to be a valid viewing program. When it is decided as an effective viewing program in Step F4, it is determined whether the effective viewing program is an across-the-board program (Step F5). If it is an across-the-board program, it is determined whether the program has already registered (Step F6). If it has not been registered, it is registered to a registration program memory (Step F7). Accordingly, for an across-the-board program, it is registered to a registration program memory, provided that it is an effective watching program of a watching time of 35% or higher, and sure video recording of a program broadcasted everyday, such as a drama series, is possible.
