摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce drag resistance by contact of a rotation member and a friction member to the maximum while suppressing reduction of responsiveness of an electric brake device to the minimum. SOLUTION: Since the electric brake device performs control such that a clearance Lf (Lr) of a brake disc 13 rotated with a wheel and brake pads 14a, 14b advanced/retreated by an electric motor M is enlarged at high vehicle speed at non-operation of the brake, reduction effect of fuel consumption can be enhanced while avoiding reduction of responsiveness of the brake at low vehicle speed by hardly generating the contact at the high vehicle speed when large drag resistance is generated when the brake pads 14a, 14b are brought into contact with the brake disc 13. Further, since it is set such that the clearance Lr is enlarged at the high vehicle speed at non-operation of the brake of a rear wheel, lock of the rear wheel is suppressed at emergency braking and stability of the vehicle behavior can be realized by delaying a braking starting timing of the rear wheel relative to the front wheel at the high vehicle speed.
