PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging machine equipped with an auxiliary utensil which can easily and surely be inserted in the bag mouth of a flexible packaging bag. SOLUTION: This packaging machine is equipped with a bag mouth opening mechanism which opens the packaging bag, a hopper, a hopper introducing mechanism which drives the hopper, and an operation mechanism which operates the respective mechanisms. In this case, the hopper comprises an annular ring having a predetermined diameter and a pair of first and second arms which freely turnably pinch a part of the outer periphery of the annular ring. In the packaging machine, the first arm is fixed to the hopper introducing mechanism. The second arm is equipped with a descent regulating member, and is hung from the first arm through the annular ring. When the hopper introducing mechanism is raised, the bag mouth of the packaging bag is opened by the bag mouth opening mechanism. At the same time, the first arm is pulled up, the second arm is made closer, and the annular ring is placed under a vertically hung state. When the hopper introducing mechanism is lowered, the hopper is inserted in the packaging bag. When the descent is advanced, the lowering of the second arm is stopped by the descent regulating member, and the annular ring is kept under a horizontal state in the packaging bag.
