PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape-like label generating apparatus which does not erroneously cut a tape in the middle of plural times of printing performed by rewinding the tape in multicolor printing. SOLUTION: When multicolor printing control is started, after an initialization process (S10), an input process/display process of text (S11), a printing color order setting process (S12), and a printing object range setting process (S13) for each color are performed. When a printing key is operated (S14: YES, S15: YES), a printing starting process (S16) is performed. In the multicolor printing control, if a color number N is not "1", in other words, if it is not the last printing (S17: No), a set color printing process control for printing by the respective set printing colors is executed (S18).
