The invention relates to a polyphase motor consisting of a primary part with N grooves, m electric phases and a concentrated or distributed winding, in addition to a secondary part ( 1 ) comprising magnetic poles ( 2 ). The invention is characterised in that disturbances that occur during operation, such as detent torque and harmonic interference of the induced voltage can be attenuated in the most efficient manner possible by an appropriate, geometrically controlled arrangement of the magnetic pole pairs (P 1 -P 4 ) and by a corresponding sizing of the gaps between the poles ( 6 ) and the pole pairs ( 5 ).
