<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the problem that a conventional adjustable case for storing paper causes the outer case to be disengaged from the main body case depending on the degree of power when a user extends the case trying to set the length of the adjustable case because the guide groove of the main body case that of the outer case of the conventional adjustable case are formed straight in the longitudinal direction till the end of the main body case, or that the engagement between the main body case and the outer case becomes loose owing to the variation in production or wearing by long use to result in an unexpected disengagement, and in the drop and soiling of a stored item. <P>SOLUTION: This adjustable case for storing paper, etc. comprises a tubular main body case whose both ends are open, an outer case whose one end is open and the other end is closed, and a case cover whose one end is open and the other end is closed. A key-shaped guide groove is formed in a guide groove slidable in the longitudinal direction on the main body case so that the closed end of the outer case and that of the case cover are positioned on both sides in the longitudinal direction.
