<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap 2 for a container for a highly viscous liquid which cap 2 allows a plastic bottle to be placed upside down. <P>SOLUTION: The cap 2 for the container for the highly viscous liquid includes a trunk 4, and a sealing body 6. The ratio of the maximum width of the sealing body 6 to the maximum width of the trunk 4 is 1.01 to 3.00. The sealing body 6 has a closing plate 16, and a flange 20 at the radially outside of the closing plate 16. The upper surface 32 of the flange 20 is a flat surface, and is located at the highest level in the direction of height of the the cap 2. With the sealing body 6 having the flange 20, the cap 2 fitted on the container for the highly viscous liquid allows a plastic bottle fitted with the cap 2 to be placed upside down still in a stable manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
