<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an apparatus for image forming capable of restraining deterioration in the image quality of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for image forming has: a plurality of developing devices equipped with a developer carrier for developing a latent image carried on a rotating image carrier while rotating at higher rotational speed than that of the image carrier, and a space holding member rotatably supported by the developer carrier and holding space between the image carrier and the developer carrier by abutting on the image carrier; a reference signal generation part for generating a plurality of reference signals being the reference of the operation of the developing devices; and a control part for controlling the rotational speed of the developer carrier, and making a time required until the developer carrier provided in one developing device starts deceleration after the reference signal made to correspond to one developing device is generated different from a time required until the developer carrier provided in the other developing device starts deceleration after the reference signal made to correspond to the other developing device is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
