PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric barrier discharge lamp control device capable of improving power efficiency. SOLUTION: The dielectric barrier discharge lamp control device 1 is composed of a dielectric barrier discharge lamp 2 emitting light by a discharge of discharge gas through a dielectric, and a power source control device 3 controlling the light emission of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp 2. The power source control device 3 is composed of an inverter 15 converting input voltage into high frequency voltage, and a transformer 16 boosting the primary side input voltage and outputting a secondary voltage to a secondary circuit. The inverter outputs driving voltage Va of H-level during a period contributing to the lighting in a large scale, and does not output the driving voltage Va during a period not contributing to the lighting. Namely, the power source control device 3 supplies power to the dielectric barrier discharge lamp 2 during a period contributing to the lighting in a large scale, and blocks the power supply during the other period.
